I've asked this question quite a few times and the response is usually 1-3 at a time. I also agree that at some locations in major cities will have a higher concentration.

I've stayed at the Ren downtown twice and both time I was given a large suite on the top floor.

Quite frankly if a manager at a Marriott property told me they didn't identify a difference between a Plat and PP, I'd have a conversation with the GM. I've yet to speak with a GM that has the same view as the line managers.
