I'm sure I'll get yelled at for being off-topic, but here's a few notes regarding group reservations.......


1). I'm sure it has changed, but I know in 2000, both CO and UA were able to submit a price match request from another airline's quote. They actually did this without any documentation from me, now that I think of it!


2). Group members were able to earn FF miles on a CO group reservation. (If it matters to your group)


3). It was like pulling teeth to recognize that a group of 15-18 year olds needed to be sitting in a block of seats. They first assigned my group all over the plane.....


4). CO was able to tack on a Fuel Surcharge to my group after our contract was signed, as the tickets had not been issued...


5). Don't know what kind of group you have, but if you opt to go with a carrier which charges for bags, I'd highly suggest you collect this money ahead of time. (Especially if your group contains youth).


6). Sorry this is kind of out of order, however, to qualify for the group discount, at the time, the group members only needed to travel together on one leg of the trip.

Meaning:

A-B on Tuesday and B-A on Friday
A-B on Wednesday and B-A on Friday
A-B on Tuesday and B-A on Saturday


Were all able to be booked under the group contract
