Shades of BA Executive Club, which was revamped a decade or so, dramatically penalising economy class customers. (Interestingly they seem to have changed their mind and increased the benefits last year for discount economy tickets.)

It's clear to see what they're doing: no change for BP; for SP there isn't so much of a change - my typical ticket is £290-£330 return which was 300 points and will now be 250 or so; huge change for discount Standard. Not good news.
