Centurions get booking confirmed at time of booking at Ritz-Carlton properties, you might be thinking of that.
You might be correct on the current year benefit. I do not have Centurion. I am just posting based on what I have read before on this forum and it has been reported by people here that Centurion members were upgraded at FHR properties upon making a reservation.
