Just tried this the last few days. I find the whole thing extremely frustrating and nerve wracking - I won't try this again. I lost $33.00 on this (yes, you can use that toward their regular hotels but I can do a heck of a lot better just using an Expedia $50 BRG coupon.

It seems it all just has to do with things you can not control (how long it takes your bid to "register" (provided your strategy was to wait to last 2 - 3 seconds of time clock)). Results were erratic - sometimes my bid registered immediately and to my great dismay, sometimes a time delay, which is how I lost an auction on a hotel I REALLY wanted.

I prefer something that doesn't get the adrenaline going as much. I want a great deal, not a Vegas gambling experience.

Different strokes for different folks. I'm passing on this in the future.
