Now on the return tomorrow morning, trying to change to an earlier flight from IAH to YYZ but all are now operated by UA/Skywest express and they are not available for CO flight changes. At least they could have offered all of these flight changes as code shares instead of one or the other. My original flight was 1pm with a connection in IAH and get to YYZ at 9pm, only option for standby or changes is a double connection IAH and CLE that gets in at 5pm with a 40 minute connection in IAH.
Call the elite line to see if they would let me switch to the UA 10am direct flight from IAH to YYZ but they said it is not offered as a code share. Just stupid merging schedule caos if you ask me. They have to offer these routes on both websites until the merge is complete, just only makes common sense. But none of it does to them I guess I should be used to that from going through the NWA/Delta merger, just don't remember having these weird of flight changes.
Was that one of the flights that the new United was trying to skirt the scope clause and have the direct as a CO flight but flown by UA partners. If so that could be part of the problem.
