welookgood.com......thank you for your reply. however, i didn't mean to sound like i want to run a scam or abuse the program at all. in fact, i merely want to use the program the way it was meant to operate. BUT,... the french polynesia sheraton moorea has a reputation for bumping down any guest who uses points for any type of upgrade, even when confirmed over and over again and all confirmations are presented IN WRITING FROM STARWOOD. this occurs when anyone, no matter when they book, pays the full fee for the room---they will bump us down to accomodate the full fee payer especially when they have gone through particular travel agencies. so, i merely want to use my points honestly, but am forced to go through this process not to get bumped out of the room we want. sorry if i was unclear.

actually, it would be great to just use our chunk of points for the room ahead of time, but we want a better room (overwater bungalow) and since starwood's assurances mean nothing there (sad), it really stinks and makes being an SPG GOLD mean nothing really (at least in these sheratons).
