We have existing reservations for an ocean front bungalow at Bora Bora nui. We plan to pay for all 4 nights then convert the last 3 to free award nights with points. Can we wait to do it there by calling starwood from our room as we don't want to take the chance of getting "bumped out" from using all points. How much advance notice to convert to points. We have done it at other hotels even when checking in but I know its different there. Reading some pretty sad stories about how they treat you when using all points.
We are booked 8 nights for OTW Horizon at Moorea first and are paying-eeks! just because of all the posts on getting bumped out with points.
