If I recall correctly, one-way is more on this route so you wouldn't get any refund if you abandoned the return leg.
One way tickets are generally more expensive than returns particularly if the return ticket is booked as a T+ international fare. One ways can only be had as Latitude fares outside NAmerica. Caveat emptor!
