When they do happen they're prioritised in a fairly strict order. So unless your wife is one of VS's top customers the chance of her being prioritised over Golds, Silvers and full fare paying PE passengers is nil.

On a LAS flight the chances of there being "free" seats in UC is minimal in any case as it's a small cabin.
