You are right, I am absolutely sure that you can't put your vehicle on a train. This only offered for several short routes (e.g. the "Verina-Tunnel" as mentioned above) but even this costs much more than CHF 17 (starting from CHF 29 for a 20 minute ride).
Also all the other routes which I know where this is possible are actually tunnels, so not really scenic rides.
