Something positive to think about.

In April there are supposedly strong winds blowing so at times the winds blow hard and you get a great view of the mountain.

Another plus to going in April is the cherry blossoms.

My wife (she is Japanese) tells me that in April they have these winds that blow the cherry blossoms into the air and it looks like a white out of blossoms.

I don't know personally, I've tried to see it and failed each time but I hope your try is successful.
