The real issue is not about lounge access to children. It is about parents allowing children to run amok in the lounge (read: lousy parenting skills). My children have been raised in the "concierge environment" and have always been well behaved and quiet (well, mostly, lol). They were never allowed to change the TV channel unless no one else was in the lounge. They have always had to dress well and sit with us and have polite conversation. They have never been permitted to take more than two of anything on the "snack" table, and never take the last of an item. If they EVER caused a scene, they were immediately taken back to their room. And now that they are teens, I can trust them to go to the lounge by themselves (on occasion), and I trust that their good manners are intact.

We have all been in lounges with kids running wild, taking 15 shrimp on a plate, and generally acting like savages. Come to think of it, I have seen many adults act the same way. It's about a world without proper manners, NOT about children in the lounge..
