Concierge Level/Lounge Turned Family Room?
The last WSJ Weekend edition ran an article detailing how many hotel chains are "updating" or "rethinking" their Executive Level and/or Lounges into family rooms.
Does anyone else despise and loathe the invasion of one of the last oasis available to the road warriors?
Who’s experienced 4 kids munching on crackers and cheese in their swimsuits on the “concierge” level or lounge of their favorite SPG hotel while you're discussing business with a colleague or client?
Or had your CNN or Bloomberg channel switched to Sponge Bob during breakfast?
Am I a whiner, or is this the prevailing trend?
Please respond or let Lurker know this is NOT what you’d expect or why you choose to stay as an SPG member!
Ps. When I do travel with my own children, I let it be known the pool is for fun and frolic. The lounge is NOT our den, and “we need to dress and act accordingly.”
