There are a couple of other options. If you use expedia and do a dummy booking, it will show the miles for each segment. The other, more efficient, way is to use the great circle mapper: http://gc.kls2.com/ This will give you the mileage between any two cities if you enter the airport codes. The mileage is sometimes off by a few miles (usuall <10) compared to AC, but for most purposes it will give you what you need.
