It's not like it will change anything now. You still have to wait till April 1 to do so even if they made the decision now. Doesn't matter as long as the decision is made before April 1. And to be fair, Japanese are very considerate and they don't even want to talk on their cellphone on the train.

I suggest filling out the comment form on JAL website and tell them know what your preference is
