JAL: Might lift ban on cellphone during boarding and disembarking

The Japanese government is planning to let airlines decide whether to allow passengers to use cellphones in the cabin during boarding and disembarking from April 1, officials said Tuesday.

All Nippon Airways said it plans to remove a ban on cellphones during boarding and disembarking from that day, while Japan Airlines said it intends to consider what to do in light of customers' comfort and convenience.

Cellphone or no cellphone? Any preference? Maybe they can advise passengers to do what they are doing on trains. Only text and no phone calls? Or it just doesn't bother you at all?
