What's weird to me is no where can I find that is says what liability coverage they provide, yet liability coverage is required in Spain. On the super cover they mention adding to your "limited liability" but no where does it say what the limited liability is or if that meets the legal requirements. (The rep on chat said there was no liability provided in the online quote, but I'm doubtful she really knew.) Every other car rental website I've looked at is very specific about the coverage provided in the rate quoted.
I guess what I really curious about is what people's experiences have been with renting with Hertz in Spain. Do you get to the counter and find you have none of the legally required liability insurance in your quote and get hit with the charges then, as the chat rep said? Or has there been sufficient coverage in the quote - whatever the 'limited liability' might be - and it's just not spelled out well on the website?
