Seen this question asked before on here. Many feel that you should offer the upgraded seat to boss-man. Since you're obviously not flying direct you could always offer one of the two (assuming you get both) to him and you take the other.

There again, regardless of who's paying for it, you are the one who's "boo-tay" is in the seat 100K+ miles a year. If it were me I would maybe consider it *only* if it was a long international flight = "the ultimate sacrifice".
