New situation for me: I'm newly 1K and my boss, the CEO, is consistently 1P -- almost 1MM now. I'm on the same flight as him going from CO to FL. CEO is a very nice, unassuming fellow who will only pay for discount coach when on business; we are a frugal company, but with some latitude for airline loyalty as long as we're judicious in the fares we pay.

As an additional bit of information, we are not currently slated to sit next to one another in Y.

Question: What would you do if you were upgraded and your boss wasn't? Party it up in F, give up your seat to your boss, something else?

I'm asking partly out of seriousness and partly out of humor. I will have been on vacation for a week, which means my e-mail backlog will be high, which means I'm probably taking F if I can get it, so I can get more work done.

By the way, at boarding, I will take him across the red carpet with me as my guest.
