FTers can argue about whether the rule makes sense or not, and because they can argue they will. The rule is the rule, and OP is illustrating one of the many examples of ignorance having penalties when compared to knowledge. I would rather have one piece of solid knowledge about what AA policy is than 100 opinions about what it should be.
