We did NOT receive any notice. I handled it with them with my lawyer and CPA and they agreed they did not send notice, but that I still owed the interest. If I had more time and money to spend with my lawyer I'd sue as they are according to their own code required to give notice, but these guys run the shop and you can't argue with them unless you are prepared to put in lots of time, money and effort. And the Fed IRS don't even do this if it's less than I believe $5k. One phone call from these idiots would have fixed the problem but they are all VERY happy to show they can do as they please. they are just enjoying the power that they failed to get naturally in life.
And besides, it doesn't have anything to do with not being able to actually explain the situation to a human being. I have in the interim refinanced my home, a $700k loan, and it was a very quick discussion with the underwriter. He actually said that they deal with judgments all the time mostly from medical bills that get lost in system.
