A friend is connecting from BA to VS tomorrow and due to a clueless travel agent will probably miss the connection as it's just inside the MCT and BA won't through check the bags. Even though it looked like it was on the same PNR the BA seg is "informational' so they will not be protected nor apparently would BA check bags through anyway.

Its a discounted upper class so not changeable, which is bad news if not protected.

I'm US based but if you show up for a flight late here, there is normally a grace period of 2-4 hrs where they will let you move to the next avail without penalty. For obvious reasons it's call the "flat tire rule".

Anyone know if VS do this?
