Any other changes to the above responses? given that the time is longer and that it is on a Sunday?

Hello chichow,

Sundays are tough, as regular shopping is not an option. However, there are markets, cafes, museums which will help you spent the day.

There is a decent website listing things to do:

In English lists 22 things to do:
http://www.qype.co.uk/de712/tag/sonntag
In German 102:

Things are very close in downtown Frankfurt. You can walk the whole west east corridor (Train main station to Zoo) in 40 minutes. North south is much shorter.

Public transport is excellent, with the caveat, that most lines operate with reduced frequency and some do not run at all.

Having a whole day you might want to entertain a trip to Heidelberg (~60-70 min) or the Rhein.

If you have some special interests PM me and we can see what I can come up with.
