Yes, but... some of us live nearer the "remote" airports. I can get from my house to Luton, park up, get the bus to the terminal, check a bag in and get through security, all in an hour. As a result (and because I like them), EZY tends to be my first choice, particularly for an early morning/late evening flight. While I'd be more careful with FR, I can imagine I might make that choice if I lived near STN.

I Agree with you and for a while EIN was more convenient for me than AMS or BRU, however, as I tried to point out, I said that for me it is an added inconvenience when I specifically have to go to central London. In my situation flying with FR has never been convenient and I have often paid for the added convenience of legacy carriers. I am sure, as you so well point out, that there are people for which the remote airports are not remote at all.
That being said, since CityJet (previously VLM) has started flying the EIN-LCY route for €69 all in one-way FR leaves a lot to be desired between EIN and LON to make the savings outweigh the benefits.
