Now THAT'S funny!

I once worked with a guy who didn't wash his underwear. He'd buy inexpensive underwear and throw it away after one use. Made packing easy (I guess).

I fly for an airline that operates all over the world and to many very remote locations. (I'm on a small atoll in the Indian Ocean right now) We are home-based so the company buys us airline tickets from our homes to wherever our airplane might be. My current trip started from a city in the middle-east. Two of our flight attendant were booked on the same AAL flight from DFW to LHR to connect to a BA flight to our starting city. Their AAL flight out of DFW had a maintenance delay and they misconnected in LHR and their checked bags didn't make it at all. One of them had her bag arrive 12 hours late, just in time for our first flight. The other F/A's bags never arrived. Her bag got routed back to DFW. She's been flying for over a week without her checked luggage. She said that she spent over $200 on makeup and clothes. She did our first two legs in flip-flops! I can certainly understand why people try to avoid checking bags.

I checked a bag on this trip as it was the first time I've flown it and didn't know the laundry situation. Next time I'll take a smaller carry-on bag as there's plenty of time to do laundry.
