I have booked a last minute holiday to Dubai for Feb half term with hubbie and 2 kids (age 4 & 8). Whenever we have flown Virgin in the past I have booked my seats well in advance with no problems.
However, this time the seat allocation is fully booked so I have been told that all I can do is wait 24 hours before departure and try to check in online and maybe there will be 4 seats together then! Has anyone done this before? Is it likely that we will be able to sit together? Also is it better to do this online 24 hours before rather than at the gate?
I have to say that I am really stressing out about this as it is an o.night flight and the thought of being split up onboard is not good!
Very grateful for any advice that you can give???
Many thanks
First of all, welcome to FT!!
About your request, a couple things. You will definitely be better off posting this in the
Virgin flying club forum instead of here, as that forum is dedicated to Virgin Atlantic and people who know VS well can help you. Posting here doesn't help as it's more about the Middle East specifically, not airlines that fly to the ME from other countries. However, don't repost this there...I have notified a moderator already to move it for you. Now you know for your next thread!
I would keep checking the seat map, as you never what can open up. 4 seats together can be hard, but good luck! It's probably better to do check-in as soon as you can, and at the airport and the gate, speak to the agents there. You never know; people might be accommodating!
