I usually book through Netlfights (airline network) in the UK for car hire in the USA.

I need a car for approx 3 days in LA and need to drop off back in San Jose.

Netflights normally charge around £30 - £35 a day.

I have the Amex platinum Charge Card which includes free car rental insurance as well as perks with Hertz and Avis.

Can somebody please advise whats the best value I can get if booking locally within the US or even an LA based rental company.
