How will Elite upgrades be prioritized on Continental?
For travel on Continental, the upgrade order will be:
Continental Platinum Elite
United Global Services and United 1K
Continental Gold Elite
United Premier Executive
Continental Silver Elite
United Premier
The caveat is that the above list is missing that all elites booked on a full economy fare skip to the top.
Your B fare should put you ahead of any other UA Prem Exec on your flight, and if you were a CO elite, you would be ahead of Plats on less than full Y fares. If the full Y fare priority bump applies to UA elites, I have no idea.
What route are you flying, and on what weekday? Were you siting upfront, or in Y?
^ on the B rebooking. Every time I have taken bumps, I got rebooked on a full Y, thus getting the EQM bonus. I know it is not the rule, but if it happens it is a nice perk. I once got a VDB, and was rebooked on a oversold flight, and got the upgrade after a no show. I was #1 on standby on a IAH-EWR 738 flight with 34708530823508 elites in the back.
