The real question is whether the officer behind the counter facing you knew whether you're pressed one of the button & made a choice or not (and, which selection was chosen) - or is this survey done for strictly for statistical & analytical purposes, collected for the senior "comrade" to "enhance" customer services?

We went thru PVG airport twice recently and yes, they're flashing while our passports were getting stamped, finishing up - after any questions're answered by us .... My initial impression was that it was optional and voluntary on whether we need to participate or not.

Okay, wait & let me pause for a moment - just imagine if we could do this for TSA and Homeland Security back home at the good old U.S. of A - especially at the "checkpoint" or secondary screening, etc. <<but, that's really a different topic/subject matter in a different thread for another day>> The results on TSA/HS would be very, very revealing & interesting for the Congressional oversight committees, the media and the public, to say the least.
