I'd recommend to check with the airline. The 2nd seat needs to be booked as extraseat wich is linked to the pax. When checking in, you check in for yourself and the paid extraseat is linked to your name. If you book two tickets on your name, then you could encounter problems at check-in and if i.ex. there's an aircraft change (seat change)...
