You should be able to transfer the luggage all the way through, I recently flew into BKK then transited to a TA flight and luggage seemed to arrive ok!

The TA flights are in the domestic terminal, so you have a reasonably long walk through, you do also have to clear immigration/customs on your way through. This is not as bad as it sounds as it is normally quite an informal process.
