I don't know what US Airways' policy is on purchasing of second seats. They may offer that for passengers of size, but you might be able to take advantage of that. In any event, this question is best located in the US Airways forum. I've alerted a moderator to move the question there, and I'm sure you'll be able to find someone who has had some sort of experience with your situation.
