Buying two seats in coach
I have flown from CLT to LGW a number of times, often uncomfortably because I was beside a large person or a seat hog. Planning to go again. The flight will likely be on an Airbus A330, which has two seats by the window. That is, one at the window, one on the aisle, only two on that side of the aisle. Those coach seats are somewhere in the $600-$800 price range, generally. First class is WAY more, at $6000.-$7000. Carrier is US Airways. What will happen if I buy TWO coach seats for myself, so that I am guaranteed no one will be next to me? I don't mind paying for two seats, just to get the extra space, but I don't want to pay for two, and still only get one, because of some rule against it. If anyone knows, would appreciate any input. Keep in mind this is an international flight.
