I was in a Dallas hotel recently with signs posted that said "Texas law requires that no food can be removed from breakfast area." I grabbed my morning bagel and fruit and walked out. If I had been challenged, I was perfectly ready to state my room number and to have the challenger tell the Dallas police I would there waiting for my arrest, but to please hurry as there would be no evidence in just a few minutes.

Curious, I searched the internet for about an hour looking for a relative Texas law, and could not find one. I'm not saying it does not exist, just that I could not find it.
