Aaahh ... love that new plane smell!
On my round trip to Vancouver this week, my outbound flight was on one of the brand new 767's (fin #661). And I'm not kidding about the smell either--you do catch a whiff of "new plastic" when you board. The Y seats are all new too, with adjustable headrests--they slide up and down, and the outer parts (wings? flaps?) pivot inwards so you can cradle your head.
On my return leg, I flew on A330 #938, the newest addition to that family, and upgraded. I took advantage of the video-on-demand system (which I'd never before used) to watch "Breakfast at Tiffany's"--I've always wanted to see that film and never had the chance! Good entertainment makes the time pass much more quickly--why don't all the seats have this technology (he asks rhetorically)?
Next week, I'm on a F28 to Atlantic Canada, so I suppose it all evens out in the end.
