I believe some promotions are different for US addresses vs. international. Sometimes, not as good, sometimes, better.

For example, didn't Aussie residents get some sort of promotion last year only for them? I think at least some Canadian members got sent a % off promo just for them - I'm sure there was a thread mentioning that a few months back. And then, some promos are only for US residents.

Then again, even having a US address doesn't necessarily mean you get access to all the US promotions. TEQM between NYC and ORD was only available to those who had IL and NY state (and NJ and CT?) addresses.
