Apparently I'm wrong. We flew with printers in December without problems, so I assumed I was correct. The kids each paid hundreds of dollars to attend this competition, and now they are handicapped by the TSA. And no, I will not have a chance to buy toner before they're supposed to debate.

Now we are safe from both domestic extremist's printer cartridges and well prepared traveling high school debaters compliments of the Department of Halfwit Security.

Fertile territory for debate subject matter, though.
