A friend of mine who writes for our local lifestyle weekly did an article on valet companies and found out all sorts of atrocious things.

Ironically, a few weeks after that article ran, we were out with him working on another food/beverage article and one of the valets decided to lift all my tollway change (the quarters/dimes/nickels) from my change dispenser... well, all of it except for one coin on each stack... I didn't notice until I got to the tollway that night and came up empty. Now that is on the list of things I check for when valeting.

I also always always pull my housekey off my keyring. I've heard too many stories about valets who look in the glove box for a home address on insurance papers and then make a copy of the key while your car is parked.
