Valet companies are very adept at shifting blame and never repairing damage they inflict. Worse yet is that all the fine print is on their side.
What one has to watch out for is having serious damage to a car you own and insure by a valet. Most policies will not cover a valet as an authorized driver to your policy, and most fine print on valet stubs says that by accepting the valet stub the owner of the car accepts all liability.
I know one person who valeted their car only to find out the valet hit a pedestrian in the parking lot and broke the pedestrian's leg. After 18 months of legal wrangling, the owner of the car was forced to pay for the pedestrian's injury out of his own pocket.
Run don't walk from valet companies!
