Should anyone care, NZ's station manager at HKG had my iPad in his safe all week and met me at check in to hand it over personally! ^

They had tried to call me but reception was patchy in China so I'd not got the calls.
Great service yet again from NZ - they are now my favourite airline.

If you want remote wipe / locate my iPad / send message to iPad then you need to subscribe to mobileme and it's easy from then on. Works for iPhone too..!
