Last year (and every year--about five times a yr!), I flew R/T LAX-JFK Business Class on AA and it was around $1700 and now (looking for an upcoming trip in March) and now, the same flight is $2900!!! (I was using Sidestep.com and other booking sites, as usual)
I searched ALL airlines and it was basically THE SAME price ---for a 4 1/2hr flight!
Even Virgin America...And they don't even serve warmed nuts, or a "custom" sundae? What has happened? It's an average of $800-$1,000 more!
And First Class R/T LAX to Paris was (wait for it!), $19,995!!
Last year , it was HALF this price. WHAT is going on????
I know that flying Premium is expensive--I fly premium when I can or can be upgraded--however--what is the story with the $1,000 (or even higher) price jumps?
$2900 for a roundtrip Business Class from LA to NYC? That's what I payed last July 2010 on Air France "Executive First" to go to PARIS from LA!!!!
If someone can enlighten me on what is heppening, I would be most grateful!
