Yup. I found this http://www.kob.com/article/stories/S....shtml?cat=500. The text is old, but the video is from around lunchtime today. Apparently, they had just finished jury selection and were about to begin the trial with opening statements and perhaps the first witness this afternoon.

I wasn't referring to the outcome, but the environment of the trial - Judge Ito being an idiot, Marcia changing her physical appearance, etc etc. It was more show than criminal proceeding and the preening in front of the camera routine by everyone was quite evident.
Another potential problem with televising trials would be possible reactions of witnesses. They might ham it up. Or possibly be less likely to testify or cooperate if they knew that thousands could be watching their testimony.
