What do you know about flat paid car allowance. Is it a requirement the the allowance be taxed when received! I have work for this small firm for the past 20 years we just received a notice that this year the allowance will be taxed as received. This is new to me. Prior we received the allowance tax free then at tax time we claimed the allowable expenses to write down the allowance. Has something changed? I look at the guide but like everthing else hard for me to understand. Got any info or ideas?
