Can you take too much from a hotel's free breakfast?
I was at the SFO Homewood Suites last week and went down to breakfast around 8 AM. I was surprised to see that some of the hot food options had the trays removed from the warmers and that a lot of other items were low. As I sat waiting on some eggs to be brought out, I noticed two women were taking trays and piling food upon them. They had cleaned out most of the hot food and had large quantities of everything (a dozen bagels for example). They would then leave the breakfast area and come back for more. I observed them make three trips.
I was a little annoyed by this as they stood in front of the food areas waiting for food to come, then took a while to select what they wanted and were rude when I said "excuse me" and tried to get around them. I assume they were taking the food back to people sharing their rooms with them. I ended up eating less than I'd wanted to and leaving breakfast early. I know the breakfast is complimentary and all that but is it reasonable to expect people to take only their fair share?
