Correct - enter your MP# during the booking process on CO.com. Go to My Reservations on United after booking and you should see your new reservation listed with E+. However, call the 1P line to have an agent manually add you to the UDU list as the two systems still aren't synched. I just booked a OW from LAX - BOS for March via CO.com on UA metal ($120 cheaper) and the "upgrade pending" was not showing until after I called.
