Lost Luggage Question - Mumbai to Heathrow
A colleague of mine lost his luggage on a flight from Mumbai to JFK with a stop in Heathrow. The luggage was never recovered. He lives in India and the BA associate told him that the maximum they pay for lost luggage is 2500 rupees or the equavailant of $5.

Does anyone know if this is actually the policy? I can't find it anywhere on the BA website. Any help is appreciated.
