I theory it's only allowed in Dublin on flights that carry the BA code (e.g. only LHR and LGW flights I believe) ... You don't have to actually be booked on the BA codeshare but you do have to be on a flight that carries a BA code as well.

Of course you may get lucky but I have been refused in the past when flying on EI to a non UK destination .. but equally I think I've got lucky in the past too!
