I want to echo ILUVCITIBANK’s review of the Key Largo Westin. I read many derogatory posts about this property prior to arriving, which made me a little apprehensive. However, from the moment I arrived, the service and hospitality could not have been better. The purpose of the trip was to catch some lobsters during the two day lobster mini-season on 24-25 JUL and to enjoy some time with family members through the weekend. I booked one room from 24-28 July using points and a second room from 26-28 July using a free Friday and Saturday. The Westin upgraded me to a Jacuzzi suite overlooking the Gulf that had more than enough room for four people. When I checked into the second room, they graciously gave us the adjoining room to the suite so that we could just open the dividing door to have access to both rooms. They couldn’t have made our room locations any more convenient or scenic. In addition, they let us keep our boat at their concrete dock for no charge. This saved having to trailer the boat daily. The pool area was a hit with the kids. There are actually two pools; with one labeled for adults only. I can’t comment on most of their restaurants since we were cooking up our catch on their dock and ordering pizzas the other nights. The restaurant on the beach, however, served up a fine fish sandwich.

I highly recommend this property for a relaxed, scenic, escape.
