Lots of Californians, people from New Mexico, and Arizona can only speak Spanish -- you might ask they're in the US and they have to learn English, but some of these Spanish-only speaking people's roots have been here even before Europeans came! So anyone who suggests "English-only" in the US should be ashamed of themselves. Other countries pride themselves for being bi/tri/multilingual -- something that Americans should learn
